Maträddningspatrullen – we rescue food and pass it on
Who we are
Maträddningspatrullen is a Swedish non-profit association (org. no. 802545-6289). We collect food from grocery stores that would otherwise be thrown away and distribute it to people in financial hardship in Stockholm. Food that is perfectly edible should be eaten – not end up in the bin.
How it works
- Pickup: our volunteers collect leftover food from stores that want to reduce their food waste.
- Sorting: the food is checked so that what we hand out is safe and in good condition.
- Distribution: the food is handed out to people who need it, without any hassle.
All work is done on a voluntary basis by dedicated members.
